All my life I have been around dogs, since my father used to breed them I could never be without a dog. Then of course as an adult I could not continue without dogs. Billy my little Chihuahua has been with me for almost 15 years, Boss the Bullterrier, and Twix the great Dane joined me shortly after my accident when I broke two of my vertebrae in 2013. I found Twix at a Serbian breeder, totally weak and scared sitting in the corner and hiding from all the rest. I simply could not go back home without him.
I also gave birth to my beautiful daughter just a few months before I had my brainstroke and heart surgery, It was very difficult for all of us as I simply could not support her during that timeframe as I wanted.
